I grew up in Qatar, where I did my undergrad in Mechanical Engineering at Texas A&M University, Qatar. During my time there, I worked with the High Energy Physics research group under Prof. Othmane Bouhali, which allowed me to do a summer internship at CERN. I then did my masters in materials science and engineering at Texas A&M University, where I studied the mechanical and corrosion response WE43 Magnesium alloy that was processed by an advanced solid-state processing technique called friction stir extrusion. I enjoy writing, taking photos, and visiting museums during my free time.
Selected Honors
- Best Student Poster Award, Third International Computational Science & Engineering Conference in Doha, Qatar (2019)
