I was born in France and then I move to Switzerland for my studies. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science and Engineering at The Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne. Within the Master program, I had the opportunity to work in the Aluminum industry as an intern at Novelis where I studied the influence of thermomechanical history on the properties of aluminum alloys.
I am currently performing a Master thesis in the Dunand Research group on metal matrix composite. My work will focus on the manufacture of a nacre-like metal matrix composite for structural application and its deformation mechanisms. The combination of freeze-casting and sintering techniques will be used to process this composite. This work is co-advised with Prof. Andreas Mortensen.
