I've lived in Chicagoland for my whole life and graduated from UIUC with a bachelor's in Materials Science and Engineering in 2018. While in Champaign, I did research on the kinetics of metallic glass crystallization in Professor Maass's group. I also worked with the Army Corp of Engineers in Champaign experimenting with various methods for dam repair and restoration.
At Northwestern I'm researching aluminum alloys for high temperature applications. By adding elements like Zr and Er, we can form mechanical-property enhancing precipitates. Outside the lab, I enjoy painting, cooking, and going to plays in the city.
